IRMSA represents individuals and companies committed to the enhancement of the Risk Management discipline. IRMSA serves aspiring risk practitioners, risk professionals and decision makers in Southern Africa.

Benefits of Membership
All member applications have to be submitted to our Membership Committee for review and approval. As this Committee serves on a volunteer basis and are not based at the IRMSA offices, the process can take up to 1-calendar month.
A: Individual membership is open to individuals aspiring to work/currently working at any level in functional areas related to the Risk Management field whilst Associate membership qualifies you to apply for the CRM Prac/Prof Board Exams and if applying for Associate membership, you will need to meet ONE the following criteria:
Corporate Membership refers to membership for an organisation in its entirety. Corporate membership fees are calculated according to the number of full-time employees within an organisation, and not just the risk division.
Individual membership applies to a person’s own professional membership.

You can either upload recently certified (not older than 3-months) scanned copies of your documents to your profile on our database (login details can be obtained). Alternatively, the documents can be emailed to membership@irmsa.org.za
Unfortunately not. IRMSA only assists Associate, CRM Practitioner, CRM Professional and Fellow members with a critical skills and/or permanent residence letter, provided they meet the relevant criteria. You can request assistance by emailing membership@irmsa.org.za
Only once your application has been reviewed and approved, will you receive a formal notice and link to the full invoice for payment via email.
If you are a new member and have been formally approved and paid your membership, you will be emailed a link to your certificate.
Existing members: you can access your certificate directly from your profile, once your payment has been allocated.
Please allow 3 - 5 working days for payment from our bank account to be allocated to your profile. The two systems are not automatically linked.
